What are dentures?

Dentures are a way to restore a badly damaged tooth or replace a lost tooth. Conventional dentures are removable (removable partial denture or complete denture). However, there are many denture designs, some of which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants (fixed prosthodontics).

Signs You Need Dentures

  • One or more missing or damaged teeth
  • Chronic tooth pain
  • Loose or moving teeth
  • Swelling and/or tenderness of the gums

What Can I Expect During My Appointment?

The doctor will need to assess your mouth and teeth to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy enough for Zoom Teeth Whitening. If necessary you may also receive a quick cleaning before the whitening procedure can start.

The second visit will determine the length of the new teeth based on each individual patient’s mouth. We want to make sure that the bite is going to feel as natural as possible and that there is no clicking when the patient talks or chews.

During this appointment, the dentures are nearly complete! We want you to try the dentures with the final teeth to ensure the fit is just right. Final measurements are made and then adjustments are made at the lab.
